Elemental and fetal,

A need as basic as breath;

To hold, to touch, to feel

To absorb his essence,

Ethereal and sublime.

To look into his eyes and see

The hunger, the need.

A spark antediluvian.

The primordial appetite.

Never to be sated.

When all is past and done

And time has come and gone,

It remains

An ember.

And with a lover’s breath

Bursts into flame.

A volcanic river burns its way

Through the bowels of longing

Igniting an inferno

Not easily quenched.

Arousing passion.
